Echoes of Service is a cross-cultural missions service group, with 204 linked workers serving in 35 countries:
- We support mission workers through finance, pastoral care, advice and administration
- We support churches through mission updates, prayer information and advice on mission issues
- With others, we stimulate mission interest among 18-25s through the FirstServe programme
Long-term mission workers associated with Echoes serve in a variety of mission activities which include: evangelism, discipleship training, church planting, student ministry, prison work, medical, support of marginalised people, youth and children’s ministries and leadership training.
Echoes serves these workers, their sending churches and mission supporters by channelling funds, working with church leaders as they send workers, advising on a range of personal and mission issues, and mission training, e.g., seminars, breakfasts etc. We encourage prayer for mission through the Echoes magazine and other resources.
The FirstServe gap-year programme is jointly sponsored by Interlink, GLO, Counties and Echoes. It gives young people a discipleship and missions experience in the UK and then overseas.
Echoes does not direct the ministry of workers. However, the experience and advice of the trustees are often sought and given. When finance is received from a UK tax-payer, Gift Aid is added. We do not deduct from any gifts for office expenses unless instructed to do so.
