Enable Training is a collaboration between service groups to give better access to and improve training for individuals and local churches. The steering group comprises representatives of training agencies and church leaders, working together to:
- Network church leaders and those developing resources to fill training gaps.
- Improve existing training through area networking, Partnership days, Joshua Project (GLO), Counties, Echoes, One to Lead, and Tilsley College.
- Create training hubs for those who deliver or use training, and provide “training of trainers” in local churches.
- Shape training to meet the specific needs of the type of churches which Enable Training serves, bearing in mind the extensive training resources available within the evangelical world.
For more details on the range of training available, check out www.enabletraining.org, which is our main training information hub.
Pathways for Developing Church Workers – ‘Stepping Out’
This is a joint venture responding to needs highlighted by the former Church Strengthening Initiative project. Tilsley College is running a scheme to support new or potential church workers. Mentoring and financial support are shared between local church leaders and partnering organisations. This is an example of the initiatives that a cross-UK training forum can produce through cooperation between service groups and church leaders.
