Brass Tacks has been operational for 27 years and is mainly involved in providing practical help or advice for the buildings and equipment of those involved in the work of mission. Typical projects include buildings for mission hospitals, schools and Bible schools, water projects, and rehab facilities.

The work depends heavily on the sacrificial service of volunteers who give of their time and skills to help in the various projects. Most often, this involves being on site to supervise or carry out the work, but sometimes the help needed is more sourcing the information needed to point a project in the right direction.
